This can be such a heavy place! Despair and Depression can make basic tasks feel impossible to do, and Isolation leaves everyone carrying their burdens alone. My role here is to work very hard to help couples, adults, children and youth rediscover what they once shared, what they now need, and to find their way back to connections that feel healthy and safe.
I will meet with as many family members as possible, once a week for the first 6 or 7 sessions. After that, we might decide that once or twice a month is good for the next 3 or 4 meetings. Check-ins and update meetings are always an option, once things have improved. Depending on the situation, between 9 and 11 meetings can be expected.
